NM School for the Blind
and Visually Impaired
Using the pool at the nearby New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, members of the Holloman Aeromedical Laboratory fabricated a seat on a long pole that set down a test subject in the pool in water for spinning and disorientation.
While the school’s contributions may seem minor in the scope of space history, the proximity of Holloman Aeromedical Laboratory, testing at White Sands, and the zero-G studies there created a mecca of space research.
